“We love what they did with the characters. The look, design and colors of the art is delightful… Jim Henson would love it! ”
We all grew up with Oscar the Grouch so we jumped at the chance to help BBC Northern Ireland and Sesame Workshop create an online world for Sesame Tree – the Northern Irish Sesame Street spin-off.
Collaborating with the talented folks at FRONT, we produced storyboards, illustration, animation and general joy, leaving FRONT to made it work well and look great.
The site needed to be an immersive, leafy and explorative experience that reflected the look and feel of the live-action show. We worked hard to create a detailed and easy-to-use site that revealed new treats upon closer inspection, from the randomised interactions with Potto and Hilda to tiny details that only eagle-eyed fans will find.
The Sesame Tree site is making everyone rather happy and has been hailed as BBC Learning NI’s most sucessful site ever with 2.6 million page views per month at last count.
We couldn’t be more chuffed that it’s a huge success for the Beeb. (And we’re still singing the songs!)
